Condolence: Sam and I go back to 1964 being stationed at Philadelphia we both were assigned to a ship name USS Belmont AGTR-4. Sam took over the job of taking care and upkeep of our UT Boat, being her Coxswain, and Motor Whale Boat. Our friendship grew while on the Belmont.
Upon our discharge we traveled on to new adventures. A few years back now, we renewed our friendship; I got to visit with him and Pam twice and kept in touch by email, face book, and phone calls. I find myself calling his cell phone just to hear his voice.
My friend, my shipmate, and well on active duty buddy in “crime”. We would hitchhike home from Norfolk VA in all kind of weather only to return to the ship the same day we got home.
I am so sorry Pam that I am unable to be with you all. I fell yours and the family pain of his passing.
I love you Sam now and forever more. Until we meet again. Pappy
