Obituary for Samuel M. Vukich

Samuel M. Vukich, age 68, of Donora, PA, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born June 18, 1946 in Charleroi, PA the son of the late Sam and Anna (Turkovich) Vukich.

Sam was a member of the The Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church in Monessen, PA.

He was a veteran of Vietnam serving with the U.S. Navy. Sam received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Dominican Republic) and the National Defense Service Medal.

Sam was a professional firefighter in West Palm Beach, Fla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Dean and Theresa White; and a brother, John Joseph Vukich;

He is survived by his wife; Pamela Vukich; a daughter Kimberly A. (Keith Sr.) Behanna of Donora; a son Michael C. (Samatha) Vukich of Monongahela; a grandson, Keith A. Behanna Jr.; eight sisters, Mary Foor of Belle Vernon, Clara Bulko of Donora, Agnes Vukich of Donora, Dolores (Allen) Evans of W. Mifflin, Mildred (Louis) Greco of Donora, Caroline (Fred) Ruev of Donora, Irene (John) Caserta of Kettering, OH and Catherine (William) Dudgeon of Donora; a brother, John (Liz) Vukich of Chander, Arizona; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his dog Precious.

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www.massafrafuneralhome.com where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM onThursday, November 20, 2014. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday November 21, 2014 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen, PA with Rev. Fr. Michael Crookston as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
