I've known Chummy since I was a little girl. It always made my day when we'd run into him somewhere - he'd act like he was there just to see me! That's when I called him Mr Lignelli. When I moved back to Donora after 35 years in the city, you'd think I hadn't been gone for even a day...he still made me feel as though he was just here to see me and he welcomed Pete with open arms. Daddy (Bill Schempp) and he spent so many years together in the fire company. John was the last of the old gang. Now they are all together again. What stories they must be telling. Donora surely has a Guardian Angel now.
