Rose Irene (Gregorini) Bagay, passed away Saturday afternoon,, September 24, 2016, at Hallsworth House in Monessen, PA. surrounded by her loving family.
Rose was born on March 12, 1931 in Monongahela, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Domenica Gregorini.
She was a member of the former St. Dominic Church, now Our Lady of the Valley Church, where she was vice president of the P.T.G. (Parent Teacher Guild). She and her late husband, Ed, were avid bowlers of the St. Dominic Men's Club Jednota Bowling League. As a teenager Rose was employed as a bookkeeper for the Pizzutelli Grocery in Monongahela, PA. She devoted all her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. During the holidays, she was famous for her nutrolls, stuffed rigatonis, and homemade haluski. She was affectionately known as "Rosie", "Rosa", or "Bubba".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Edward Bagay Sr.; five brothers, George, Guido, Joseph, Alfred, and Victor Gregorini; and a sister, Mary Bartoletti.
Surviving is a sister, Antoinette (Richard) Inserra of Boca Raton, FL; a daughter, Evona (John) Lenhart of Charleroi; four sons, Edward (Paula) Bagay Jr., Gary bagay of Donora, Gregory (Jonalyn) Bagay of West Newton, and Robert (Bonnie) Bagay of Mt. Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Kerie Lenhart and fiance Ben Miller, Kelley Lenhart (David) O'Brien, Zachary, Sarah, Gregory, Nicole, and Callie Bagay; five great grandchildren, Brianna, Derek, Nora, Jocelyn and Adam; also several nieces and nephews
Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Prayers will be recited 9:30 AM in the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, 2016 followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Valley Church with Rev. Fr. Pierre M. Falkenhan as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA
