Obituary for Stella L Banahasky (Zmuda)
Stella L. Banahasky, 99 of Donora, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Meadowcrest Nursing Center, Bethel Park.
She was born on February 24, 1921 in Ellsworth, PA, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Perchinsky) Zmuda.
Stella was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Abbott; five sisters, Josephine, Helen, Agnes, Frances, and Margaret; and five brothers, John, Albert, Vincent, Stanley and Joseph.
She is survived by three daughters, Irene Jarvis of Donora, Carol Keleman of Donora, Rita (Pete) Ritz of Finleyville; two sons, Larry Banahasky of Donora, and Albert (Carol) Banahasky of Finleyville; 8 grandchildren, Robin (Jeff) Perez, Tony (Jessica) Banahasky, Angela (Brian) Cox, George Kelemen, Tina Ritz, Trisha (Frank) Kobus , Jonathan Banahasky, and Jeffrey (Erin) Banahasky; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Valeria Wuycheck; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second Street Extension, Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, (724) 379-6900, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
