Obituary for Dorothy I Beresh (Bainer)
Dorothy I. Beresh, 91 of Carroll Township, formerly of Donora, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 in the Residence at Hilltop, Carroll Township.
Born in Donora on June 30, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Markinack Bainer.
Dorothy was a dedicated and faithful member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Donora, its CANA Sodality, and the Sacred Heart Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael L. Beresh on October 25, 2005 and a daughter in-law, Kristina Beresh.
She is survived by six children, Mary Ann (Lonnie) Rudnisky of Amity, PA, Rebecca (James) Pikor of Carroll Township, William (Mary Ann) Beresh of Donora, Raphael Beresh of Vancouver, WA, Joseph (Michele) Beresh of Donora and Robert (Tammy) Beresh of Washington, PA; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Sikorsky of Donora; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second Street Extension, Carroll Township/Donora PA 15033, (724) 379-6900, where family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.
Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Donora with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Donora.
A Parastas service will be held in the funeral home at 3:30 pm. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.
