Dolores A. Forty, of Donora, PA passed away peacefully, with her daughters by her side, on Saturday, December 23, 2017, in Norbert Personal Care Home in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born in Donora, on July 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Marie Immaculata Pulcini and Joseph A. Amatangelo.
Dolores was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Donora where she was involved with the weekly Lenten fish fry’s, the Alter Rosary Society, and was involved in making many of the homemade food that the church would sell. Dee was also a member of the Italian Heritage Society.
In addition to caring for her family, she worked at Fisher’s clothing store in Monessen, Mosier Sewing Factory in Donora, and at Mon Valley Day Care Center until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking, bingo. Dee enjoyed taking trips to the casinos, the Donora Senior Center, and to the Beach.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Philip L. Forty on April 22, 2010; a great granddaughter Gianna Marie Baldini; a brother, Ernest (Cecilia) Amatangelo; three sisters, Rose (Carmen) Lorenzo, Josephine (Armand) DiSantis, and Mary Louise (Michael) Tirpak
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara (David Teets) Winovich of Pittsburgh, Cindy (Perry) Baldini of Carroll Twp. and Debbie (Richard) Dunhoff of Mt. Lebanon; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Jessica) Baldini, Morgan Dunhoff and Jesse Dunhoff; one great granddaughter, Valentina Baldini; two brothers, Robert Amatangelo of Pittsburgh and Joseph (Jean) Amatangelo, Jr. of Elizabeth; four sisters, Carmella (Angelo) DeSanto of Erie, Marlene (Steve) Perok of Southgate, Michigan, and Faustina (Frank) Jakela of Donora; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday December 28, 2017 at 9:30 am followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Donora with Rev. Fr. Pierre Falkenhan as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
