Mary Jane Herk, age 92, of Whitehall, formerly of Donora, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Mt. Vernon of South Park.

She was born in Donora on June 19, 1924 the daughter of the late John and Anna (Trahea) Fedoris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William J. Herk on December 3, 2008; a daughter Sharon Herk Kon; and a brother, John Fedoris.

Survivors include her son, Bill (Patricia) Herk of Whitehall; three grandchildren, Anastasia (Rob) Dubnicay of Whitehall, Alexandra Herk and her fiance (Korey) of Pittsburgh and Brandon Herk of Chicago; a brother Joe (Mary) Fedoris of Moon Twp.; and several nieces and nephews

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Sylvester Church 3754 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 25, 2017, with Rev. Fr. John Bachkay as celebrant. ALL THOSE ATTENDING THE FUNERAL MASS ARE ASKED TO GATHER DIRECTLY AT THE CHURCH BY 9:45 AM.

Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Donora, PA
