Rose Ann Warholic, age 98, of Carroll Township, died Friday, July 8, 2016, in her home, which she helped her husband design and build.
She was born September 21, 1917 in Monessen, PA, the daughter of the late Maxim and Mary (Sokol) Fedorchak.
Rose was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and was an award winning quilter and seamstress. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, and was Tiger Woods’ biggest fan following his career from the beginning. Over the years, Rose made many handmade crafts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Warholic; six brothers, Ralph, John, William, Michael, Anthony and Boris Fedorchak; and three sisters, Dorothy DelRosso, Ann Bachinski and Helen Grant.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Edward) Seeley of Carroll Township, and Tammy (Timothy) Comino of Wexford; three sons, Patrick (Jan) Warholic, Michael (Adele) Warholic and James (Diane) Warholic, all of California; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Wolfgang.
Arrangements are being handled by the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 40 Second Street Extension, Donora/Carroll Twp., PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where friends will be received on Monday July 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Panachida Services will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 followed by a Funeral Liturgy in St. Michael Church at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Fr. Stephen Wahal as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rose’s name to the Donora Public Library or the Monessen Public Library.
