Gordon  Anderson
Gordon Anderson, age 72, of Donora, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, in Donora, PA.

He was born in Sunnyside Gallitin on January 8, 1943 the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Broggi) Anderson.

He was employed by the Pennsyvania State Department of Transportation as a Driver / Operator.

Gordon was a member of the Fells United Methodist Church and the Donora American Legion Post 212.

He served as a medic with the U.S. Army 1st Calvary Division during the Vietnam Era. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Medal and the M-14 Marksman Ribbon.

Gordon was an avid BINGO player and often spent his Sunday afternoons in the bingo hall.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jamie (Whirlow) Anderson on Dec 14, 2012; a granddaughter, Madeline Ann Conn and a son-in-law Gary Conn.

Survivors include a son, Gordon J. (Michelle) Anderson of Donora; a daughter, Renee Conn and Significant Other Jeremy Habjanetz of Liberty Boro; four grandchildren, Sarah Conn, Joey Habjanetz, Noah James Anderson and Keanen James Anderson; two brothers Richard "Wayne" (Joanie) Anderson of Donora and Denny (Shirley) Anderson of Carroll Twp.; also several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www.massafrafuneralhome.com where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 27, 2015. Funeral service will be at Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2015, with Pastor Bruce Merritt officiating.

Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
