William "Harry" Loftus, age 94, of Donora, PA, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Havencrest Nursing Center in Carroll Twp., PA.

He was born July 7, 1920 in Donora, PA the son of the late John and Ann Regina (Tickle) Loftus.

Harry served with the Army Air Corp during WW II.

He was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Church in Donora and the Donora Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge # 1265.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Francis) Loftus on August 7, 2014; five sisters, Eileen Loftus, Catherine Stancoven, Delia Pasquale, Jean Reid and Margaret Harvey; also three brothers, Tom, John and James Loftus.

Survivors include his son, Thomas Loftus of Donora; two grandsons, Thomas Loftus of San Francisco, CA and Joseph Loftus of Paoli, PA; also several nieces and nephews

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www.massafrafuneralhome.com where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 31, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Valley Church at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 1, 2014, with Rev. Fr. Pierre M Falkenhan as celebrant.

Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, PA

The Donora Elks will conduct services on Sunday at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
