Obituary for Anna Marie Vayansky (Zavarella)

Anna Marie  Vayansky (Zavarella)
Anna Marie Vayansky, 80, formerly of Donora, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2015.
Daughter of the late Raphael Zavarella and Irene Bogaty, Mrs. Vayansky was born on November 18, 1934, and raised in Plum Borough, Pennsylvania. She attended Slippery Rock University and California University of PA, and she taught third grade for 33 years in Donora. Mrs. Vayansky was very active in her church, Our Lady of the Valley, in Donora, PA. She was also actively involved in The Compassionate Friends and The Valley of Hope.
Anna Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and cousin. She gave her whole heart to her family and friends. A longstanding resident of the Mon Valley, Anna Marie will be remembered for her grace, kindness, intelligence, caring, and always seeing the best in everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vayansky, Sr., son, Albert Vayansky, Jr., son-in-law, Ralph I. Brandt, Jr., and brother, Paul Zavarella.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Brandt, and grandchildren, Nickolas (Kelly) Vayansky, of Lawrence, Pa, Natalie (Terence) Randolph, of Charlotte, NC, Ashlee (Zach) Brown, of Mt. Holly, NC, Brian Brandt of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jennifer (Matthew) Yerkey of Claysville, PA, and three great-grandchildren, Emma Hull of Lawrence, PA and Macie and Silas Brown of Mt. Holly, NC., a daughter-in-law, Debra Vayansky, of Canonsburg, PA, a special cousin, Anita Beacon of Verona, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that any donations in Anna Marie’s name be made to The Donora Public Library, Washington County Humane Society, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, or the charity of your choice.
A memorial service and mass will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Park Manor Road and Second St. Extension in Donora. Burial services will be private and at the discretion of the family.
